The Simplex 3000 mechanical pushbutton lock provides exterior access by combination for narrow stile glazed aluminum doors. This fully mechanical lock eliminates the material and labor expense of battery replacements, has a single access-code and is programmed via the keypad without removing the lock from the door.
The Simplex 3000 series is not supplied with a locking device. Instead, they are designed to work with an aluminium door deadlatch such as an Adams Rite 4710 deadlatch.
When ordering a 3000 series digital lock, there are two main components to consider, a housing and a drive assembly. Depending on what needs replacing, you may need to purchase more than one part.
The housing is the digital lock itself which is visible when looking at the door. Housings are not handed and there are only two versions, the standard unit, and a unit with an integrated cylinder guard.
The drive assembly is the plate which fixes to the door behind the housing. These are handed and also specific to whichever backset locking device is being used, so ensure your products are compatible before ordering.
