This Sobinco multipoint door lock features 3 Deadbolts & 1 Latch.
Sobinco locks are high quality, Belgium made locks that are used almost exclusively on Aluminium doors.
Identifying a Sobinco lock is pretty easy as they have a unique design "drop bolt". We have referred to them as deadbolts on our product filters for ease of use, but they are a combination of a hook and deadbolt, which drop as the lock is engaged.
You'll find Sobinco locks fitted to a wide range of aluminium doors, many of which will rebrand the lock. It would be common to see locks branded as Raynaers and Aliplast, but they are Sobinco locks underneath.
All Sobinco locks have the same locking positions, with a top drop bolt at 720mm and bottom drop bolt at 760mm from the spindle. This means that Sobinco have adopted the classic 1490mm locking centres configuration that so many locks feature.
The most significant difference between the various models is the faceplate, which is available in 16mm, flat 20mm (with square edges), flat 24mm (with square edges), 22mm x 6.5mm u-shaped and u-shaped 24mm in two different sizes. The first is a 24mm x 5mm, with the other option being 24mm x 6.5mm.
Sobinco gearboxes are available in 30mm, 35mm and 40mm backsets, the narrower style making them more suited to aluminium doors. They are all single spindle with key wind operation.
Gearboxes measure 210mm high by the backset + 15mm. The height of the latch is 11mm and it throws 9.5mm.
Operation: Key Wind
