The Abus Wireless Outdoor IR Camera offers all-round protection in outdoor areas and is to be used specifically with the Abus Home Surveillance Set (TVAC16000B) as an extension.

Though the surveillance system comes with a 7” monitor and security camera as standard, there is the option to add a further three cameras to the monitor. In which case, you will need to purchase them separately.

Guaranteed to look after your home whilst you’re away, the Abus Wireless Outdoor IR Camera – or TVAC16010B – features 25 integrated infrared LEDs for use both day and night. It is a compact IP66 rated outdoor camera with an infrared night vision function and has a 2.4GHz digital transmitter for encrypted wireless transmission of video data. And, the fact that it’s wireless means it is the perfect solution for situations where it’s impossible or difficult to lay cables.

The more cameras you add, the easier it is to monitor your home from every angle using the iOS or Android app on your smartphone. For instance, you can position a camera above doors and entrances, another to monitor your gates, towards the driveway or garage, and one more to keep an eye on the garden shed. The choice is yours.

However, the effective IR (infrared) range will depend on the location. If any surfaces absorb light, or if there are no objects in the field of view that reflect IR light, then the IR range will be reduced. As a result of this, the footage will be very dark. Placing the Abus Wireless Outdoor IR Camera somewhere that’s surrounded by reflective objects could affect the quality of the image too.
