Weatherseal stripping is the process of sealing openings, such as windows and doors, making your home or business feel instantly warmer and we supply a fantastic range of weatherseals, here at LockShop Direct.
Your windows and doors allow air leaks - even when they are closed - and without weatherseal stripping, air leaks can account for 30-40% of overall heat loss.
Weatherseal strips
Weatherseal strips are great for:
- Stopping draughts
- Preventing rattling
- Reducing heat loss
- Minimising external noise levels
- Eliminating dust and dirt
The weatherseal strips we supply at LockShop Direct are designed to fit onto wood, UPVC and metal windows and doors.
Window weather stripping
A window weatherseal is used to seal windows on all sides. There are caps at the top of the window which redirect rain to drip off the window instead of infiltrating.
Here at LockShop Direct, we supply the Exitex E strip which is a suitable window weatherseal and can also be used on doors. The adhesive rubber strip seals gaps between 2mm and 3.5mm and is supplied in 5-metre lengths.
Door weather stripping
One of the weatherseal strips that can be used on doors to stop rain entering your property includes the Exitex Expelex rain deflector. We supply it with end caps and can easily cut it to size to ensure a perfect fit for your door.
The rain deflector also comes with rubber seals which help to prevent water ingress and is available in gold or mill satin.
Features and benefits of weatherseal:
- Quick and easy to fit
- Save time and reduce labour costs
- Improve interior comfort
- Prevent your windows and doors from rotting
- Protect against wind, water and noise
- Reduce energy costs
