An egress escape nightlatch is a trusted latch that effectively secures your property and permits easy egress during a fire or other emergency.
Egress escape latches don’t feature a locking mechanism and are fitted on the inside of your front door. Typically, they unlock from the outside using a key or internally using the handle to lift the latch.
This type of night latch enables emergency escape in the event of fires as it has a keyless lever on the inside of your door, making them ideal for strong-panelled residential front doors in flats.
Available in 40mm and 60mm backset options, our keyless egress high security nightlatches come in a selection of finishes including chrome plating and polished brass.
An egress escape nightlatch will deadbolt when your door closes – once closed, the latch can only be withdrawn from the outside using a key or internal handle.
The deadlocking mechanism prohibits intruders from opening your doors using credit cards as the latch automatically locks into place and can’t be retracted.
