We supply an impressive range of egress escape mortice locks available in various materials, finishes, and sizes, perfect for any exit doorway.
With a range of locks from deadlocks to sashlocks and latches, we have the best escape mortice locks for your building, no matter your requirements.
What are Egress Escape Mortice Locks?
Escape mortice locks can always be opened from the inside using a doorknob or handle, even if it has been locked from the outside using a key - this makes them ideal for a quick exit during a fire or emergency.
Egress escape mortice locks and latches are installed on the edge of the door and not its surface, making them ideal for both internal and external doors.
But what’s the difference between a mortice deadlock, latch, and sashlock?
Egress escape mortice deadlocks only have a keyhole and bolt that extends to and from the mortice box and door frame. Sashlocks, on the other hand, have a deadlock bolt and handle-operated latch combined into the mortice box - this allows opening, closing, and locking your door without a key.
Latches only operate using a latch mechanism – a metal snib that joins into the door frame using a spring.
No matter which egress escape mortice lock you need, they are all available in a range of finishes, including brass, chrome, and satin chrome – so you can select the model that best matches your door.
